Poem, n.d.

Consists of most of Thackeray's poem "A credo" from his series "Five German ditties" in his Ballads (1856). The poem is written out in Thackeray's autograph hand, and the wording differs from the printed text in several places. A note at the top of the page indicates that this copy of the poem was given by Thackeray to a Mrs. Wister (or possibly Winters).
